It’s been a week! Oh my, has it been a week!
(Forgive me for my lateness here; I nearly fell asleep on the computer last night - again!)
I haven’t published a lot this week. I have one post that I wrote that is pretty much done that will get posted next week, and I’ve been working on a post in my head, but this week has been insane! This is what I managed to write:
Laugh a Little
Is SEO Killing Creativity? - Leanne Cole
It’s amazing how little we know about what’s going on in so many places in the world - even for those of us who “pay attention”.
Breaking the Silence about Abuse in the Convent - Missio Dei
From “Orthobro” to Orthodox… - The Open Ark
How I Survived the Titanic - Marina Amaral
And, as always, I’ve been reading Rod Dreher (https://roddreher.substack.com). He’s well worth the subscription price.
Jordan Peterson, Biblical Series II: Genesis 1: Chaos and Order
It’s absolutely fascinating how he comes at these, not coming from a theological or historical perspective. There’s a lot of good and interesting things in this - I was listening in the car - and there’s a small point he makes that I meant to mention in another post, but that post remains unwritten as of yet.
Megan Follows reading from Anne of Green Gables in 2020
And Megan Follows auditioning for Anne of Green Gables back inthe 1980s:
Abbot Tryphon, on transitions. I read once that a good leader is planning for his successor from day one.
Die Prinzen - Be Cool, Speak Deutsch
This is hilarious, but so true! The amount of English that’s getting thrown into “modern” German is insane!
The long-awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is finally here. The music from Breath of the Wild was stunning from the first moment the game loaded up. We haven’t played much, and it sounds like the music in Tears of the Kingdom is very good, but it hasn’t grabbed me quite the same way. In any case, the full soundtrack:
