Happy Easter! (Don't look now 'cause we're a quarter of the way through 2024!)
Hmm… The week has gone by quickly and, thankfully, without much of anything crazy happening. It seems like slowly, progress is being made with house stuff, and one of these days, my daily “to do around the house” list may notify me at 8:30am with less than 100 things. One can dream, right?
The weather has been colder, a little bit more seasonable, and fairly wet. On Tuesday, one of my dear children forgot an item necessary for the school day, and I volunteered to bring it. It ended up just making sense to come right back, so that’s what I did. It had been drizzling with the first trip, but I noticed myself reaching for my sunglasses the second time around (prescription sunglasses are something I never would have thought important until I got a pair, and even for driving alone, they are so very worth it!) In any case, as I turned west to head to the kids’ school, there was a brilliant rainbow right in front of me. It looked like both ends were in nearby farms, and it was low enough that it appeared that if I continued on going west, I would have gone right under it. It was absolutely brilliant, and had I not made the second trip, I would have been completely unaware. Rainbows were kind of my thing back when I was in kindergarten; as I’ve gotten older, they serve as a reminder of God’s promises to us.
For all of you on the celebrating this weekend - Happy Easter! Christ is Risen!
Anyway, for this week’s roundup, here we go:
Writing
Reading
An Interesting Encounter - Between Two Worlds | I meant to add this to the roundup last week and somehow missed it, but it’s an amazing story of “coincidence”, if you will, and the importance of angels all around us (plus the responsibility of being one of those angels sometimes).

Long after heyday, soda fountain pharmacies still got fizz - AP News
B&N is ending support for NOOK eReaders & tablets from 2013 and earlier - Liliputing | Having three of these, not really happy about this.
I’m glad a few people put in the comments “gratitude” because, IMHO, “be kind to yourself” missed the mark.
