The feast day of St. Alexander of Munich. Back in my Germany days, the first Sunday after the 13th would be a procession from the church to his grave, and a full Panikhida at the cemetery. It was good to see “Memory Eternal” being acted out like that. All of a sudden, there was community in knowing that I wasn’t the only person who found something extremely important in his life. And so, of course, I am thankful for him and his presence in my life.
