Here we are at the Labor Day holiday weekend! This week didn’t really settle down, but I got a few things done, and I also managed to lose my computer here for a day and a half. The temperatures here are going up and down like a yo-yo, and that’s been really hard on my sinuses. Mind you, I never remember having much trouble with sinuses and the like until 2020, and it was in that year or 2021 where I got slammed by a couple of really bad ones, and ever since, I’ve been quite sensitive to weather changes. Forgive me for not writing more - at some point, exhaustion kicks in, and I’d like nothing more than to sleep for a couple of nights without my nose feeling like there’s hardened super-glue lining the inside of it!

Music

  • New recording of this - it really reminds me of singer/songwriter type songs from the 1970s.

  • I mention this song in a post over here (https://breathofhallelujah.com/2023/02/02/three-little-birds/) and I thought of it with the AI rendering for last week’s “Saturday on Substack”. Wouldn’t you know it, on Monday, the “Totally Random Song of the Day” on the local radio station was “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley and the Wailers. It’s the first time I’ve ever heard a song repeated for this spot. I don’t mean to play “magic 8 ball” with the radio, but sometimes things come on at just a particular moment, and I almost get chills because the message seems to be just what I need to hear.

Watching

  • I believe this woman is Dutch, and it’s very interesting to see her trying to stay on the task of reviewing the singing and not the content of the song. It’s apparent that she’s moved by it, but doesn’t want to say anything more than a word or two about that, and it makes me wonder if it’s out of fear of what others in her musical genre would think:

Again, forgive me for the lack of posting and such; away from the computer, it’s been a crazy week. Let me know what I missed! Anything fun or exciting?
